One more stitchery finished . . .

I was really pleased with this simple stitchery! I finished it out like I've done several in the recent past. I put it in a bamboo hoop, backed it with felt, and trimmed the rim out. I took this one to work to enjoy!
Speaking of enjoying things at work, my special order of chai tea, by Samovar, finally arrived! I enjoyed a nice cuppa Thursday afternoon, along with a shortbread cookie! ♥
SEC football season started up today ... hip, hip, hooray! Our church is having a Tailgate Party outside tomorrow after services.
Todd made his famous firehouse chili, and I made frosted brownie bites! Those are what Sandra Lee would call semi-homemade. *wink*
I prepped two more stitcheries ... both from Kathy Schmitz's Stitches from the Harvest. This sweet little autumnal piece . . .
I'll work on him tonight during the Alabama game and he'll be my slow stitching project for tomorrow evening ... I'll be ready to put my feet up when we get home, I'm sure! Linking up to Kathy's Quilts and her slow stitching post, first thing Sunday!
Also, for some reason I'm feeling the urge to work in wool and Christmas things. Perhaps because—
Have a terrific rest of the weekend. Roll Tide!!

The pumpkin turned out very well. Your next two pieces are very cute.
Are the brownie bites baked in a mini cupcake pan? About how long do you bake them?
Okay, I am going to have to start closing my eyes at the end of your posts. The countdown is making me nervous. I may break out in hives.
Oh, gotta send you a recipe. I'll get on that.
Love all you cute stitcheries. I must check out Kathy Schmitz's stitcheries as they look great. You've also now put me in the mood for chai. We are about to take our daily walk so I'll look forward to that when I get home.
simple and beautiful. Love your embroidery
Argh, I could have gone a while longer without knowing Christmas is only 90 days away, LOL!!! Love your stitchery.
Those brownie bites look delicious. Had to laugh at your Sandra Lee comment; we're showing our age!
Oh I do love that pumpkin. I like the way you finished it also. Your pretty teacup, leaf and chai tea make for a relaxing treat time. I look forward to seeing you stitching on that jack o'lantern and fall piece. Enjoy your tailgating!
Oh my...only 90 days??!!! Where does time go?! Love the pumpkin stitchery and how you finished it off. Such a nice way to display it in the hoop. Speaking of hoops, I don't do a lot of hand stitching so was wondering a couple of things. First, how do you transfer your pattern to your fabric, and secondly, do you stitch in a hoop or just hold it? I really love the look and maybe one day when I get caught up on other projects, I'll be able to give it a try. I bought a lot of 12 wt Sulky thread for this purpose! I also have a TON of DMC as I used to do a lot of cross stitching! Thanks for sharing your beautiful projects. Enjoy your tailgait party. Roll Tide!!
I love how you completed your pumpkin stitchery... Enjoy your sports and stitching today or last night... those brownie bites look yummy and I am sure the chili was nice and hot and spicy too! I need to try out some of Kathy Schmidt's embroidery on fabric... what fabric do you prefer for a base and do you double up or use interfacing to keep thread from showing through and to help stabilize the project?
Kathi
Something about this time of year just makes you want to pull out the pumpkins!
What a lovely post full of treats - stitched and edible!
the pumpkin embroidery is adorable!
Thanks for linking up to Slow Sunday Stitching!
Great stitching projects. I love your pumpkin. Have a fun time stitching and a great week!
Oh my it doesn't get better than Chai tea and shortbread cookies! Love the fall projects you have going! I think fall is definitely my favorite season!
Your semi-homemade frosted brownie bites look yummy! I got a smile from that! Cute stitcheries - I really like the Kathy Schmitz one. And great idea for finishing one off in the hoop like that!
Your stitching looks so cute. The next ones will be fun too.
That retreat sounds amazing...so many treats. And nice to see your acorn/pumpkin cookies, also treats and then a pumpkin stitchery. Your pattern from Kathy is beautiful. You have a neat hand for stitchery, Denise.
Cute stitcheries. I put Kathy's book on my wish list.
Your pumpkin is darling and I can't wait to see the acorn tree finished!! I guess the only good thing about less than 90 days 'til Christmas is this crazy year will almost be over!!
You pumpkin embroidery turned out so sweet, love your tea cup and the sweet little leaf beside it. Your post reminded me I have to pull out my Kathy Schmitz book and start preparing some pieces for autumn.
Enjoyed today's visit with you and also visiting some on your favorite blogs list.
