hooray for fridays . . .

We successfully liberated mom yesterday.  We wanted to play Pomp & Circumstance to celebrate her 'walking the hall' but we settled for humming it, instead.  This is Mom (on the left) with her roommate (who was also sprung yesterday), Linda:
You'd hardly know they were knee replacements patients, would you?!  Spry young chickens!  We went from the rehab center to one of Mom and Dad's (and my) favorite restaurants, Carroll's Creek.  Yum!  From there we headed to home, sweet home . . .
Once we got inside, Mom headed upstairs for a nap (do not pass Go!) and Dad headed to the back porch for a cat nap (do not collect $200).  It was glorious outside yesterday afternoon.  I decided to put my time to good use and explore the back . . .

This is fondly referred to as the "Montana Trail".
The back of the house from the Montana Trail.
Fall azalea.

And of course, what kind of a Friday would it be without a bit of feline in it?!?
Baby Jane Doe Cat and her friend.
And again.
Baby Jane thinks it's a good thing her friend doesn't eat.  She would have to de-friend her.

Check out the Feline Friday post over at Sarah Did It!  And be sure to take time to enjoy the day!!

Lovely outdoor photos! There is so much color at this time of the year. On the way to work this morning the sun was low to the horizon, the sky was that fall blue-gray but off in the distance the sun was hitting the fall leaves and it was hard to keep my eyes on the road.

I think Baby Jane is being stalked by her new friend. Thanks for joining FF again ^|^

Lovely home and garden, D. You look so much like your Mom. Glad she is back home. xo

Proud of your mom. Let's face it, this surgery business is hard work. Tell her to keep pain meds close by - you don't always need them, it's just comforting to know they are there when you do. Physical therapy is great (so is ice and heat). Take care.

Yay! Mom's back. Love the flowers. Kitty looks like someone splashed milk on her face. Have a blessed weekend!

Hooray for Mom's liberation!
Love the "Montana Trail"--what lovely things you found there.
Kitty seems kind of suspicious of the rather reserved friend.

Thanks you for showing us around the place. Very Pretty surroundings your parents have. Hope they live to enjoy them for many more years! Have a great Week-end!

I know mom is glad to be home. Those rehab places aren't the best places in the world. Not as many freedoms like home.

Enjoy the rest of the time with your parents!

Your flowers around and on the Montana Trail are so pretty. I keep forgetting that not everyone is in winter mode yet. Your home and surrounding look beautiful. Glad to see that your mom is up and running around again. She looks so happy.

SO happy to hear that your Mom was released and is o the mend. It's so much nicer to recuperate in your own home. Naps are good and I find it funny that we fight them as young children and then treasure them as we become wise! :) Continued prayers for her recovery, but tell her to hold off on the cartwheels for a bit.
